The LORD’s day

The people gather together to worship the LORD. At our church, Sunday is the designated day, traditionally, as with many other churches. Some opt for Saturday services.

Interestingly, Christians who are involved with ministries outside of the norm may find themselves having to gather to worship God whenever they can. More than a few churches to our knowledge host midnight services. On weekdays! Imagine a church filled with people at 3am after the service has finished.

Why do such odd hour services exists? There are people who cannot, by design or circumstances, follow the usual pattern we follow.

But what does that matter? As long as the people are gathered together to praise the LORD!

Prayer points:

  1. Thank Him for today is Sunday. Give Him all the praises, honour and glory that the LORD deserves. Remember the things He has given you during the week.
  2. Spare a thought for those who lives and work outside the “normal” way of doing things. Pray that too, the LORD’s people will be able to gathered whenever and wherever they are to worship

Prayer of the day:

Thank you LORD. May the words of our mouth and the meditation of our hearts be acceptable to you our rock and redeemer. May our fellowship with one another be ever more fruitful. Guide us, O Holy Spirit of God.

Amen.
