Sunday to Monday

“Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God.” (Romans 5:1-2 ESV)

How was Sunday for you?

Hopefully you’ve had a spiritually fulfilling time in church.  After all, church is essential a nice place to be in. Worship, prayers, the WORD of God being preached, and the wonderful fellowship. To some of us Sunday is the highlight of the whole week. Thank God, that we’ve something fulfilling to do on Sunday, because the next day is a dread. Back to traffic jams, office politics, classrooms and all that sort of things.

But even as we dread all these things, let’s remind ourselves the biggest struggle we have in live in not one seen by human eyes, but by faith. This is the struggle to end all struggle. The apostle Peter remarked ” “If the righteous is scarcely saved, what will become of the ungodly and the sinner?”. Yes indeed, righteous is a distant dream.

The answer to all our struggle lies with the one who gave us peace with God – His Son Jesus Christ.

Is it simply superfluous to say “Christ is the answer to everything?”. No, because He is the answer to everything. All of why we struggle with is because we lack something. We chase after things to validate us.

So remind ourselves, He is our peace. Bring Christ with you: to work, to school, in your home, wherever you are.

Take time to read His WORD. Log on, to Biblical websites. They help you make it through the day.

1) Thank the LORD for a week gone by, and a new week to begin

2) As Him constantly, for His guidance.

Prayer: Dear LORD, you’ve blessed us. I know now why I struggle. I chase after things because of the security I think they offer and yet, I often realise later that I care only what I want others to think I’m capable of and I forget that you’ve already created me to be “good to go”. O LORD, teach me your ways. May my heart be ever humbled and my faith turns to thee. Burdened me, with the gravity of sin. Wreck me, with the need for repentance. And rest me, in the peace you give, the peace that surpasses all understand through the One who is able, the One who’s name is above all names as every knee shall bow and tongue confess “Jesus Christ is LORD!” to the glory of the Father. AMEN.
